WWE Hall Of Famer President Donald Trump held the State Of The Union address last night and gave a speech

"laden with untruths."

The speech upset some opposition Democrats so much that they chose to walk out of the Capitol Building. One such Democrat was Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio, but his comments after leaving the address have prompted a backlash from professional wrestlers.

After leaving,

the former presidential candidate tweeted

: "I just walked out of the #StateOfTheUnion. I've had enough. It's like watching professional wrestling. It's all fake."

Both current and former professional wrestlers were none too pleased about a non-fan calling their profession fake and Ryan quickly incurred their wrath.

Former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Tom Lawlor

swiftly responded to Ryan and encouraged him to visit Ohio's own Absolute Intense Wrestling to "see just how fake it is."

Lawlor wrote: "Come to @aiwrestling Friday and see just how fake it is!"

Former IMPACT Wrestling star Gail Kim

also added her voice to the debate.

Kim replied: "We aren’t fake. TRUMP IS. We don’t deserve to be lumped into his category. TRUMP = unpredictable and FAKE. WRESTLING = predetermined and physically REAL. We are the escape from this reality."

Many other professional wrestling stars like

Effy

,

Kamille

,

Dolph Ziggler

, and

Drake Maverick

also voiced their displeasure at Ryan's comments.
