'Significant Frustration' Reported Backstage In WWE Over Booking Of Women's Division

WWE talent and staff alike have reportedly expressed 'significant frustration' backstage with how the women's division has been booked and presented on WWE television in recent weeks.

The October 8 episode of Friday Night SmackDown left fans particularly annoyed with how the women's division was presented. Carmella and Liv Morgan wrestled their fifth singles match against each other since the summer while Zelina Vega defeated Liv Morgan; the two matches going less than four minutes combined during the show.

Fightful Select is reporting that the recent booking of the women's division has left a multitude of individuals backstage in WWE, talent and staff alike, incredibly frustrated. The lack of time given to women's matches has been a major issue, one that has been noted on a number of occasions, with the match length akin to the booking of the women's roster back during the 'divas' era.

Several female members of the WWE locker room expressed concern for the future of the division amid a turnover in the Talent Relations department earlier this year, with some worried that the direction for the roster would be heading in this current direction.

It is also noted by Fightful Select that, in regards to the Carmella and Liv Morgan bout, Morgan was actually scheduled to win at one point.
