Report: WWE SummerSlam 2021 Location Revealed

WWE is expected to officially announce the SummerSlam location later Saturday afternoon, during the pre-show for the Belmont Stakes on NBC.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that Las Vegas, the early front-runner for this year's SummerSlam, will indeed be the location after all.
Sapp's report states, in part, "Fightful has learned that Summerslam this year is still set for Las Vegas, and will be announced by WWE shortly.
"As Fightful and Mat Men Podcast's Andrew Zarian have reported, Vegas was the front runner for weeks, but we're told nothing official was signed until last weekend."
Though the venue wasn't named in the report, Vegas' Allegiant Stadium is believed to be the location.
Earlier reports indicated a possible date conflict, as the decision-makers at Allegiant Stadium wanted the event to be held on a Saturday (which WWE agreed to, making this the first SummerSlam not held on a Sunday since 1994).
However, after the date was locked in, an assuredly big-ticket fight pitting Manny Pacquiao against Errol Spence Jr for the WBC and IBF welterweight titles was announced for MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas for the same date. As a result, WWE was looking at other host cities to avoid the two events being in the same city on the same day.
It's not clear if WWE is keeping the intended Saturday, August 21 date, or will push the show back to Sunday, to avoid being the same night as the Pacquiao fight.
