Report: Backstage Changes Within WWE NXT UK

NXT UK returned recently following a five-month hiatus because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Tapings are being held at BT Sport Studios in London, England and the current set of shows are centered around the NXT UK Heritage Cup.

WWE's fourth brand has seemingly received a shake-up ahead of the next set of tapings. Dante Richardson of Inside The Ropes reported Glen Joseph has resigned from his producer role because of "personal reasons" and Jim Smallman is now the brand's head writer. Smallman will continue to report to Matt Bloom and Shawn Michaels who are producing the tapings remotely from the United States.

Production of NXT UK is scheduled to resume soon, but the roster arrived at the UK Performance Center yesterday for a three-week training session. The sessions are usually only a week long but several wrestlers were reportedly "rusty" during the last set of shows which resulted in multiple matches needing to be redone.

The NXT UK roster will also be receiving a shake-up and Richardson noted several new Superstars are expected to debut at the upcoming tapings.
