Kevin Owens Jokes CM Punk Is Furious About Him Making It In A T-Shirt

CM Punk is certainly opinionated, with the controversial multi-time world champion not afraid to speak his mind about all facets of the professional wrestling industry.

One thing Punk is apparently critical of was wrestlers performing in t-shirts, with Kevin Owens getting chastised by Punk back on the indies for wearing a tee for his matches. However Owens had the last laugh, as he has main evented two WrestleManias whilst Punk has famously main evented zero.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray spoke of Owens' proclivity for wearing a tee, with Owens joking about Punk in the process:

“I always told Kevin that he is the chosen one. He is like the Neo of the shirt guys. He's gotten farther than anyone else," said Bully Ray.

Owens replied, "I know. I made it in a t-shirt. CM Punk is furious."

Since returning to WWE in November 2023, Punk and Owens have not struck up any sort of friendship, with Owens claiming there is ‘no relationship’ between the two men. Owens subsequently wrestled on night two of WWE WrestleMania, whilst Punk settled for a commentary role due to injury.
