Despite leaving WWE behind him and migrating to AEW and AAA, there were still several missed opportunities during Andrade El Idolo’s WWE tenure.

Andrade’s main roster run did include a fantastic rivalry with Rey Mysterio, and now Andrade himself has revealed who else he wanted to face in the Fed:

“I would have liked to wrestle against Triple H in WWE,” said Andrade to Lucha Libre Online “I would have loved to wrestle him in a one-on-one match, but it never materialised. Things did not go our way, but I would have loved to wrestle against Triple H.” [TR: Luis Pulido]

Whilst many had him pegged as a future World Champion and a worthy main eventer, WWE inserted Andrade firmly into the mid-card, never able to escape and reach the heights of his NXT run.

Now with a AAA Mega Championship showdown against Kenny Omega on the horizon, and a seemingly limitless AEW future ahead of him, it’s time Andrade played a new game, one which could easily see him become one of the biggest names in the industry.
