Sheamus returned to WWE on the January 3 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, attacking Shorty G and setting the pair off on a feud that continues to this day.

The Celtic Warrior made his comeback to the squared circle of WWE looking very much like he did before switching up his look in 2015. Gone was the mohawk and beard in favour of the old spiked hairstyle he sported from his WWECW debut back in 2009.

Sheamus appeared on today's edition of WWE's

The Bump

and revealed the reason WWE wouldn't allow him to completely go back in time and use his old theme for his recent return: "I actually wanted to have my original music back. I pushed for it and I was denied. I wanted "it's a shameful thing,

lobster head

or whatever it is.

"I brought this to the powers that be and they basically said they don't remember it. I was told they don't remember this song. I was told it was outdated."

Instead, Sheamus still uses the "Hellfire" theme he's had since that aforementioned 2015 return.
