WWE have cut back on running house shows in North America over the past several months and the company hasn't held a non-televised live event in either the United States or Canada since August 18 when WWE headed to Fort Myers, Florida. The next house show in the US isn't scheduled to take place until September 28.

TKO and Endeavor President Mark Shapiro revealed at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Technology Conference this week that WWE are going to continue cutting back on "marginally profitable" non-televised live events. Shapiro noted TKO have already cut out 50 events in 2024 and WWE will drop from 250 total shows in 2024 to 200 in 2025.

The decision is being made to increase TKO Group Holding's profit rate. TKO is the parent company of WWE and UFC.

WWE tickets could also become even more expensive than they currently are. Shapiro noted that he believes WWE tickets are underpriced and he joked about yelling at WWE for not making prices higher when tickets are selling out so fast. He also mentioned that WWE did not have dynamic pricing tools in the past.

WWE house shows were a company staple under Vince McMahon as the former WWE CEO and Chairman looked to bring WWE to smaller markets and enhance the brand name.
