A number of WWE tag teams reportedly only discovered they would be split in the 2021 draft when they looked at social media.

As has become the norm for WWE during their annual draft, a host of tag teams were split up in early October and sent to separate brands. The likes of Natalya and Tamina, Shanky and Veer, Shotzi and Tegan Nox and T-Bar and Mace were all drafted to different homes earlier this month.

According to Fightful Select, several people in WWE pushed for many of this teams to remain together during the 2021 draft, only for those requests to go unheeded.

The report goes on to say that when people noted that the logic of Raw and SmackDown officials drafting individual talent instead of tag teams did not work in a storyline perspective, they were told that such concerns were not important.

Furthermore, certain teams only discovered that their futures were away from each other when they saw the draft result on social media.
