Drew McIntyre seemingly won't be on WWE TV for a little while, having been suspended in storyline by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.

McIntyre won the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match and then cashed in his contract later in the show to make Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title a Triple Threat. The No DQ stipulation simply allowed CM Punk to attack McIntyre, though, and Punk ended up laying out 'Irn Dru' which allowed Damian Priest to retain.

Money in the Bank was just Punk's latest successful attempt to prevent McIntyre from leaving the building as World Heavyweight Champion and McIntyre was furious following the pay-per-view as he took over the post-show panel, during which he struck several WWE officials and Adam Pearce. McIntyre only walked off after Wade Barrett managed to get through to his friend.

Pearce has since announced that McIntyre has been fined and suspended indefinitely, while Punk was also fined despite interfering in a No DQ match, which is perfectly legal.

"The elephant in the room. Everybody saw what happened at Money in the Bank and after. As a result, after careful consideration, I am hereby fining both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre an undisclosed amount for their actions. Furthermore, due to putting his elbow squarely in my teeth, I am hereby officially suspending Drew McIntyre indefinitely. More to come tomorrow night live on Raw," Pearce said in a video on X.

McIntyre has responded to his suspension, replying to Adam Pearce: "If you were doing your job properly you wouldn’t have been caught in the crossfire you incompetent bald b*tch."

While McIntyre is suspended in storyline, he is still planned to face CM Punk at SummerSlam. The match is not 100 per cent, however, as Punk tries to get cleared from his torn triceps injury.
