WWE Runs First House Shows Since Before COVID-19 Pandemic

For the first time since March 7, 2020, WWE ran an untelevised house show.

WWE abandoned their touring schedule during the COVID-19 pandemic but the company went back on the road from the July 16 episode of Friday Night SmackDown and WWE held their first SuperShows on July 24 and July 25.

According to WrestleTix, 7200 fans were in attendance for WWE's SuperShow at Pittsburgh's PPG Arena on July 24. The results were as follows: • Natalya & Tamina def. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler - Women's Tag Team Championship• Drew McIntyre def. Sheamus - Non-Title Open Challenge• Bianca Belair def. Carmella - SmackDown Women's Championship• Bobby Lashley def. Kofi Kingston - WWE Championship• Riddle def. AJ Styles • Nikki A.S.H def. Charlotte Flair & Rhea Ripley - Raw Women's Championship • John Cena, Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio def. Roman Reigns & The Usos

WWE then headed to KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky on July 25 for the second house show of the weekend. 6,000 fans were in attendance at the arena, according to WrestleTix, and the matches were similar to July 24, just with a different running order.
