Weather wreaking havoc in the area...
Feb 3, 2020
Tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is set to go on as scheduled, despite hazardous weather conditions in the area.
Raw emanates tonight from Vivant Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, UT, which has been besieged by a severe snowstorm.
As of 11 AM local time Monday, Salt Lake International Airport reported nine inches (22.9 cm) of snow. Neighboring cities have reported 16 to 17 inches (40.6 to 43.2 cm) of snow.
The Utah Highway Patrol has
reported upward of 163 vehicular crashesin relation to the storm.
Salt Lake City remains under a winter storm warning until 4 AM local time Tuesday, with two to six more inches (5.1 to 15.2 cm) of snow in the forecast.
Despite the accidents, as well as school closures and delays, plus the urging of residents to stay off the roads, Raw appears to be going on as scheduled, as of this writing.
Though WWE themselves have not issued an official statement, a
tweet from the arenareads, "WWE Monday Night Raw is still going down tonight at #VivintArena! The show starts at 5:30 pm. Please travel safely!"
The only segment advertised for tonight's Raw is the
followup to Randy Orton's attack of Edgefrom last week.
