A Raw that happened
Nov 16, 2021
WWE headed to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana for an episode of Monday Night Raw that very much existed ahead of the Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 21.
A serious Big E opened Raw and immediately turned his attention to Roman Reigns, saying he needed to beat The Big Dog's ass at Survivor Series after The Bloodline put their hands on The New Day on SmackDown.
Big E then remembered the vicious beatdown he suffered at the hands of Kevin Owens last week, to which KO entered the arena and stood on the stage. Owens blamed Big E for his loss to Seth Rollins and said everything from here on out would be the WWE Champion's fault. E wanted KO to come to the ring but Owens simply walked to the back instead.
Big E pursued Owens but the WWE Champion was suddenly attacked from behind by The Usos. Riddle then ran down to make the save and Sonya Deville booked a tag team match to start next.
With Seth Rollins watching from ringside, Riddle and Big E took on The Usos for two minutes before the WWE Champion threw one of The Usos into Rollins and The Architect attacked Big E to draw the DQ. Orton then charged to the ring and laid out Jey Uso with an RKO to set up a six-man tag team match, which would also take place next.
A lengthy match then mercifully took place and Rollins picked up the win after hitting Riddle with some Elbows. The Usos weren't done, though, and they attacked Riddle before Randy Orton made the save. Big E then grabbed Jey and told him to tell Roman that he was ready for Survivor Series.
In a match that affected the upcoming pay-per-view, Bobby Lashley faced Rey Mysterio in the main event. Lashley dominated much of the action but Rey fought back down the stretch with two 619s and a Splash. Lashley caught the former World Heavyweight Champion, though, and applied the Hurt Lock for the win.
Adam Pearce entered the arena after the match and announced that Rey would be replaced at Survivor Series. Austin Theory then suddenly attacked Dominik and Pearce announced the former Way man would be Rey's replacement at the November 21 pay-per-view.
Becky Lynch also cut a promo on Raw about Charlotte Flair before The Man was interrupted by Liv Morgan. Lynch put down the number one contender to the Raw Women's Title before Morgan called her a big-time b*tch. The Man then tried to attack but Morgan blocked it and Lynch got out of dodge.
