With the Royal Rumble only days away, WWE held the go-home edition of Monday Night Raw at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Raw wasted no time in hyping the WWE Title match, getting straight to the weigh-in between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. The WWE Champion didn't take the segment particularly seriously, though, as he entered the ring in jeans, a shirt and a cowboy hat while Lashley wore athletic gear. Corey Graves, who managed the segment, even questioned Lesnar's attire, only for the WWE Champion to fire back that he could get naked if Graves wanted him to.

The weigh-in then commenced and Lashley weighed in at 273 pounds which was wholly "bottled lightning", according to MVP. A cowboy hat-less Lesnar weighed in at 286 pounds which led to a claim from Lashley that Brock was acting a fool because he knew The All Mighty was going to win on Saturday.

Lesnar just continued laughing, though, proclaiming the potential WWE Champion as 'Bobby...Who?' before the current WWE Champion walked away to end the segment.

A talking segment also ended Monday's broadcast with Maryse's birthday celebration capping off Raw. Many presents were opened by the now-39-year-old, including the brick she used to knock out Beth Phoenix and it all looked to be over after Miz started to sing 'Happy Birthday' while Maryse tried desperately not to laugh. Edge and Beth Phoenix interrupted, though, and they wiped out the security at ringside with Spears, Clotheslines and even a Hart Attack and a 3D. A final Powerbomb through Maryse's presents then allowed the babyfaces to stand tall as Raw went off the air.

The first stage of the Alpha Academy Academic Challenge also took place on Raw and Chad Gable, after telling the crowd not to boo education, revealed the challenge would be a triad of events with the first being a spelling bee.

Up first was Otis who needn't have looked so afraid last week as he successfully spelled 'Emmental' after the officiant Kevin Patrick explained it was a type of cheese.

Riddle then managed to successfully spell 'calibration' to Alpha Academy's dismay and events only got worse for the Raw Tag Team Champions as due to Gable mishearing Kevin Patrick and not wanting the definition, he spelled 'dissolution' instead of 'disillusion.'

Randy Orton then put the final nail in the coffin for Alpha Academy as he correctly spelled 'dumbbell', which prompted Gable to become apoplectic with rage.

Orton challenged Gable to an immediate match as a result and both men proceeded to fight back and forth in a bout the crowd was hot for. Gable even looked to have the match won down the stretch after he applied the Ankle Lock but the former Shorty G became distracted after Riddle attacked Otis with a Scooter. This allowed Orton to roll through the submission and fire Gable into the turnbuckle before he followed up with an RKO for the win.

Riddle then grabbed the microphone following the match and revealed since RK-Bro won the spelling bee, they could pick the next challenge. The Original Bro revealed the two teams would face off in a scooter race next week.

Following his win over Damian Priest last week, Kevin Owens challenged The Archer Of Infamy for the United States Title elsewhere on Raw. The match ended in a DQ, though, after Priest tapped into his 'Damian' side and beat down Owens in the corner, ignoring the referee's five-count in the process. This led to an admonishment from Sonya Deville backstage despite Deville's own recent questionable conduct.

Austin Theory also looked to impress Vince McMahon on Raw in his match with AJ Styles and while the former EVOLVE Champion was able to hang with Styles, The Phenomenal One picked up the win after 17 minutes with The Phenomenal Forearm.

Elsewhere on Raw, Bianca Belair defeated Queen Zelina, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan and Dana Brooke won a six-woman tag against Carmella, Nikki ASH and Tamina before ASH attacked Ripley after the match, Doudrop and Becky Lynch's interview segment broke down into a brawl, and The Mysterios picked up a win over The Street Profits before Angelo Dawkins and Rey Mysterio threw their partners over the top rope in a Royal Rumble preview and then chased off The Dirty Dawgs. Alexa Bliss also appeared in another therapy segment.

Check out the results from Raw below:
