WWE Raw Results - August 23, 2021

Following the events of SummerSlam on Saturday, WWE headed to Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California for the August 24, 2021, edition of Monday Night Raw.

WWE wasted no time in addressing the post-match events of Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg, during which The All Mighty knocked out 15-year-old Gage Goldberg with a Hurt Lock.

Lashley and MVP headed to the ring to open the broadcast and after some proclamations of Lashley's greatness, MVP claimed the WWE Champion did not owe the Goldberg family or anyone else an apology. This ultimately brought out new United States Champion Damian Priest, who took issue with Lashley disrespecting Goldberg, and The Archer Of Infamy went one on one with Lashley in the first match of the night.

Only 90 seconds passed, though, before Sheamus charged to the ring and attacked Priest to draw the disqualification. The heels then proceeded to beat down Priest after the bell until big Scotsman Drew McIntyre made the save.

As is common in WWE, this led to a tag team match involving the four competitors and Drew McIntyre picked up the win for his team with a Claymore to Sheamus after Lashley walked out on his partner.

Later in the show, America's least-favourite YouTuber Logan Paul appeared on Moist TV with John Morrison. Most WWE heels wish they could be booed as much as Paul as the WWE crowd in San Diego absolutely despised the 26-year-old, even though the company tried to present him as a babyface.

The issues between Johnny Drip Drip and The Miz quickly came into play during the segment, which prompted Paul to leave, and an interruption from Xavier Woods led to a match between the New Day man and Miz. Both men fought back and forth for 11 minutes and Morrison ultimately cost Miz the match after he inadvertently sprayed his tag team partner with the drip stick, which opened the door for Woods to roll up The A-Lister for the 1-2-3.

Following the match, Miz initially appeared to forgive Morrison, but he suddenly attacked his best friend, ending their partnership in the process.

In the main event segment, RK-Bro headed to the squared circle for their championship celebration, during which Riddle gifted Randy Orton his own scooter. The celebration was quickly interrupted by AJ Styles and Omos, though, and after some insults were traded, Riddle and Styles squared off in the final match on the show.

Similar to previous Styles-Riddle matches, both wrestlers worked very well together throughout. It was the RK-Bro man who came away with the win on this occasion after Orton attacked Omos with his new scooter, which led to Riddle hitting Styles with Bro Derek for the victory.

Elsewhere on the show, Charlotte Flair celebrated her title win before a staredown with Alexa Bliss, Nikki A.S.H and Rhea Ripley got back to winning ways in a tag team match against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, Karrion Kross debuted a new look and vanquished Ricochet, and Mansoor defeated Jinder Mahal by disqualification which led to a berating from Mustafa Ali. Reggie also continued to escape Akira Tozawa and R-Truth, and a refocused Elias declared he was after championships in WWE.
