Any momentum WWE's flagship show had coming out of WrestleMania 37 has all but vanished in the last couple of weeks and fans were presented with another dreary episode of Monday Night Raw.

Raw picked up where last week's show left off and Drew McIntyre headed to the ring to kick off the night's festivities. The Scottish Warrior recapped last week's events and then turned his attention to Mace and T-Bar. He claimed MVP was the mastermind behind their attack and said he planned to get a little retribution.

This brought out MVP who claimed Mace and T-Bar are not affiliated with The Hurt Business. This answer didn't satisfy McIntyre, though, and he marched towards MVP, but was halted in his tracks by a charging Mace and T-Bar, who left the former WWE Champion lying to end the segment.

Mace and T-Bar walked past MVP without acknowledging him following the attack and they had a bizarre interview with Kevin Patrick during which they ran down a list of animals before they said they would make Drew McIntyre extinct.

A bruised McIntyre then found Adam Pearce after the first commercial break to set up a handicap match against Mace and T-Bar for later in the show.

It was then time for the first match of the night and The Viking Raiders clashed with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander again.

Similar to last week's match, Benjamin and Alexander dominated the action, working over both Erik and Ivar this time. The Viking Raiders managed to pull out the victory, though, after they caught Alexander with the Viking Experience for the 1-2-3.

Following the match, Kevin Patrick interviewed Randy Orton backstage. The Viper proclaimed that The Fiend wouldn't be on Raw while he's around before declaring his intentions to face the winner of Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley after WrestleMania Backlash. Riddle then suddenly turned up on his scooter and annoyed Orton so much that The Apex Predator demanded a singles match against him.

Raw had a couple of things on the agenda before that match, however, and Charlotte Flair headed to the ring for the next segment. The 12-time women's champion put over her new nickname 'The Opportunity' and claimed she could beat Rhea Ripley and Asuka at the same time. She then turned her attention to the main event match against Asuka and she was quickly interrupted by The Empress Of Tomorrow and Ripley.

After a brief back and forth, the Raw Women's Champion got Flair's back up after she said Asuka would win tonight's match. This ultimately angered The Queen and she repeatedly interrupted Asuka. The former Raw Women's Champion eventually had enough, though, and screamed, "Charlotte tonight I will beat you, bitch," to end the segment.

It was then time for Randy Orton vs. Riddle and The Original Bro had better luck than last week and pinned the 14-time world champion after 13 minutes. Both men fought back and forth in a good match and Riddle picked up the win after reversing an RKO into a crucifix pin for the 1-2-3.

Sheamus made his first appearance on Raw since winning the United States Championship following the match. The Celtic Warrior met with Adam Pearce and Sheamus agreed to hold an open challenge later in the show, just not for the title.

The Women's Tag Team Title picture was next up and Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler faced off against Lana and Naomi. Both teams wrestled a competent match for a couple of minutes but Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke suddenly headed to the stage and played clips of Nia Jax falling over on the titantron. This enraged The Irresistible Force and she walked after Rose and Brooke, abandoning her tag team partner in the process. Lana and Naomi then pinned Baszler a few moments later following a Double Facebuster.

A post-Mania interview with Bad Bunny and Damian Priest followed and the rapper put over The Archer Of Infamy. This wasn't Priest's only appearance on the show and his feud with The Miz continued in the next segment.

The A-Lister made his way to the ring with Maryse for the latest edition of Miz TV, and John Morrison was nowhere to be found for some reason. The husband and wife then had a cringey segment which involved fireworks going off when they kissed before Damian Priest mercifully interrupted them. The former NXT North American Champion showed a replay of last week's handicap match and challenged The Miz to a singles contest. Maryse immediately accepted, to her husband's dismay.

After another commercial break, Elias was in the ring for another live performance, but he was once again interrupted by The New Day, this time by Xavier Woods with a bass guitar. The scheduled match between Kofi Kingston and Elias then followed and both men recovered from a botched SOS and Elias picked up the win with a Diving Elbow Drop a few moments later.

The latest edition of Alexa's Playground was next on the show and Bliss revealed she and Lily have been best friends since Bliss was a child. The five-time women's champion then explained she does what Lily tells her to do and warned the Raw women's locker room that Lily doesn't like any of them.

A backstage interview with Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke was shown before the next match of the night and they claimed they weren't the bullies because Nia Jax started it. The Irresistible Force then chased them off and dissension was teased between the Women's Tag Team Champions as Baszler told Jax to stop getting distracted "or else."

The broadcast returned to the ring following this and Drew McIntyre faced off against T-Bar and Mace. The former RETRIBUTION men dominated the action and they were disqualified after five minutes for beating down McIntyre in the corner. This led to Braun Strowman heading to the ring for some reason which set up a tag team match for after the break.

This was no better than the handicap match, though, and ended in a DQ as well after McIntyre ripped off Mace's mask and beat him with it. Strowman then ripped off T-Bar's mask to end the segment. If T-Bar and Mace will be known as Dominik Dijakovic and Dio Maddin remains to be seen.

The match between Damian Priest and The Miz followed and The Archer Of Infamy picked up the win. Maryse repeatedly interfered in the match which allowed Miz to dominate and he almost won the match after his wife repeated the distraction spot from last week. Priest kicked out of the schoolboy this time, though, and followed up with Hit The Lights for the win.

Sheamus then headed to the ring for his open challenge, which was answered by Humberto Carrillo. The United States Champion had no intention of wrestling, however, and he took out the third-generation wrestler during his entrance and left him lying after repeated shots and a Brogue Kick. Corey Graves even dropped a European Super League reference as an explanation for Sheamus' anger.

It was then time for the main event and Charlotte Flair went one on one with Asuka while Rhea Ripley stalked around ringside.

Flair and Asuka displayed their excellent chemistry during the nine-minute match and 'The Opportunity' appeared to have the match won after she bridged into the Figure Eight. Ripley suddenly pulled Flair's arms out from under her, though. An enraged Flair then attacked Ripley which allowed Asuka to capitalise with a Kick and a crucifix pin for the victory.

Asuka and Ripley scampered backstage following the match and Charlotte went wild and beat down an official as Raw went off the air.
