WWE Raw averaged its highest viewership since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic for the post-SummerSlam episode on August 1, 2022.

The show on Monday was watched by 2.23 million on Monday and averaged 796,000 in the 18-49 demographic, Wrestlenomics reported. This was enough for a 0.61 rating in the key demo.

2.23 million was enough to register the highest viewership since March 16, 2020, and the biggest number in the 18-49 demo since the Raw after WrestleMania 38. The March 16, 2020, show was the first episode of Raw at the WWE Performance Center following the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that Raw's viewership was up due to "overall growth in WWE popularity", a commercial-free first hour, curiosity following Vince McMahon's retirement and Triple H's installation as head of creative, and it being the day after SummerSlam.

The post-SummerSlam episode of Raw saw a new number one contender for the United States Championship crowned in Ciampa while The Usos defended the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against The Mysterios in the main event. Becky Lynch also announced to open the show that she had suffered a separated shoulder.
