WWE NXT's Adam Cole Issues Apology Following Incident On The Pat McAfee Show
The possible work continues...
Jul 27, 2020
On July 23, Adam Cole and Pat McAfee caused quite a stir after the former NXT Champion tried to attack McAfee during a recent edition of his own YouTube show. Cole grew more and more agitated during the interview with the former Indianapolis Colt's punter and he eventually snapped after McAfee made fun of his height.
The vast majority of wrestling fans assumed the altercation was a work, but former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry said it was a real-life altercation on a recent edition of Busted Open Radio.
The Leader of The Undisputed ERA has now issued an apology for his actions.
Cole penned: "I've had the weekend to think about everything, and it's still hard to put into words where to begin. First of all, to anyone that I offended, I apologize. I apologize because I represent a brand that commands respect. Not just because of what we do in the ring, but how we handle ourselves outside the ring. Even though he continued to push my buttons, I still should have kept my composure and acted like a professional. I'm embarrassed by my reaction, and I will make sure something like that never happens again. Thanks for the continued support everyone."
