WWE NXT Deadline Results

NXT hosted their Deadline premium event last night, carrying on from last year’s event where the “Iron Survivor” concept proved to be such a hit. It was an eventful night with new champions, returns, and surprise appearances.

The most notable moments from the show saw CM Punk and Shawn Michaels opening the event with an in-ring segment, in which Punk considered NXT as a potential home to sign with. Elsewhere Dragon Lee defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the brand new North American Champion after no members of the Judgment Day came out to give Mysterio the advantage he so often has in his defences.

The two Iron Survivor matches were won by Blair Davenport and Trick Williams respectively, punching their ticket to championship challenges in the future. In the case of the women’s match, Davenport faced off with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria after the match, only for Cora Jade to return and attack the champion.

• Ilja Dragunov (c) defeats Baron Corbin - NXT Championship
