WWE Making Changes To WrestleMania
WWE planning to make changes to future editions of WrestleMania
Apr 19, 2024
WWE WrestleMania will be slightly different beginning with WrestleMania 41, with the company planning to make changes to their biggest show of the year.
Speaking at the World Congress of Sports convention, WWE President Nick Khan said fans should not expect WrestleMania to air against the Final Four of NCAA March Madness in the future, nor will the company hold WrestleMania at an outdoor stadium on the East Coast of the United States.
"Going in early April at an outdoor stadium (on the East Coast)... assume you're not going to see that again. Going up against the Final Four Saturday night games, assume you're not going to see that again," Nick Khan said.
WrestleMania 40 was held at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field but the frigid temperatures on night one left many fans cold during the event. Night one of WrestleMania also faced competition from the Final Four of March Madness.
With no plans to go up against the NCAA Final Four, WWE are considering holding WrestleMania in May in the future, according to Fightful Select. The location of WrestleMania 41 has still also yet to be finalised with some in the company still pushing for Las Vegas. Minnesota's US Bank Stadium also remains in the running.
