WWE Hits Scott Dawson With Copyright Claim On YouTube

Over fourteen months after Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder first reportedly asked for their releases from the company, it looks for certain that the multi-time Tag Team champions are on their way out of the company later this spring.

Dawson, during this widespread downtime, had taken to uploading NXT house show matches to his personal YouTube account, including one featuring he and Revival partner Wilder against The Undisputed Era. He wrote, "Another rare match from my collection to help you get through these tough times. The Revival vs Undisputed Era, from San Antonio TX. Please, do the world a favor; stay home. We’re in this together."

The video was then hit with a copyright strike by WWE. Well, so much for that.

Dawson and Wilder have reportedly turned down several contract extension offers from WWE over the preceding months, and their deals are set to expire separately in the coming months. They've gone so far as to trademark several phrases pertinent to their act, with Wilder going to so far as to trademark the name "Cash Wheeler" for himself.
