WWE Hall Of Famer Bret "Hitman" Hart Calls Hulk Hogan "A Phoney Piece Of S**t"
Still not a fan of The Hulkster...
Mar 10, 2020
Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan's disdain for one another has been long documented in the world of professional wrestling.
Despite it being 2020, there has been no love lost between the WWE Hall Of Famers. During a recent Q&A on Instagram Live, Hart was asked if he liked Hogan, to which he replied "Do I like Hulk Hogan? No I don't. I think he's a phoney piece of s**."
Their issues with one another stem from WrestleMania 9 in 1993. At The Showcase Of The Immortals, Hart was booked to lose the WWF Championship to Yokozuna in the main event, only for him to then lose the title to Hogan. While The Hitman was annoyed at the decision, Hogan told him he'd be happy to return the favour at a later date.
Ultimately, Vince McMahon decided The Hulkster should put over Hart at SummerSlam 1993, but he refused to drop the title to The Hitman. Hart explained in his autobiography, Hitman: My Real Life In The Cartoon World Of Wrestling, that Hogan said "I wasn't in his league" and would only drop the title to Yokozuna, which he did at King Of The Ring 1993.
