WWE has made the move to lockdown the trademark for 'Head Of The Table' - one of the monikers Roman Reigns has adopted for himself.

Reigns, who first used the phrase 'Head Of The Table' during a segment with cousin Jey Uso on the Friday Night SmackDown prior to Night Of Champions 2020, has incorporated the identity into his character on the blue brand in recent months.

As 'The Tribal Chief', the Universal Champion has done arguably the work of his career in the past year, and it now appears WWE are set trademark the expression.

According to a filing with the United States Patent & Trademark Office on June 15, WWE have moved to register the trademark for merchandise: "Namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies, outerwear."

The full filing can be viewed here.

Reigns, who won the Universal Championship from 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt in a Triple Treat Match - also involving Braun Strowman - at Payback 2020 in August, retained the Title in a Hell In A Cell Match against Rey Mysterio on Friday's SmackDown.
