In another sign that WWE's global localisation plans are no longer on the shelf, the company filed to trademark 'NXT Europe' and 'NXT Global' on September 16 with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

The trademarks were filed to be used for professional wrestling shows, among other purposes.

NXT Europe was established in August when WWE shuttered NXT UK. The new European brand is set to launch in 2023. Some NXT UK talents were retained by the company and moved to NXT in the United States.

NXT Global would seemingly be used for WWE's expansion around the world, with Triple H recently telling Ariel Helwani that the long-term goal is to have products across the globe that would compete with each other while acting as a feeder system for Raw and SmackDown.

Triple H previously had plans for global localisation that would have seen NXT territories be set up around the world. Those plans were shelved in 2020, though, after the COVID-19 pandemic got underway.

The Game has since acquired more power in WWE following Vince McMahon's resignation in July 2022 and Triple H is now the Chief Content Officer.
