Another change to WWE's presentation looks to be on the way.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE are considering making changes to their kickoff show format that would see the company move to more of an ESPN College GameDay presentation.
"We are also told that you can probably expect as we get deeper into the year for some changes to the kickoff show formats. I'm told they want to look at ESPN's College GameDay as something of a blueprint. To have more of a live, high-energy, free-flowing discussion about the big shows that are taking place later that day and some of the big matches. They are working on some format changes," Johnson said.
WWE have adopted more of a sports-based presentation in 2024 since Kevin Dunn exited the company and was replaced by Lee Fitting as WWE Head of Media & Production. Fitting has a history with ESPN, having worked for the organisation for over 25 years on properties like College GameDay and Monday Night Football.
Changes introduced by Fitting include fewer camera cuts, talents being shown arriving at the arena, and more dramatic single-camera shots. The changes have been praised so far by fans.
