AEW’s upcoming All In from Wembley Stadium isn’t the only event which is making history this week (surpassing the paid attendance number of any professional wrestling event in history), as the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 40 event has broken records too as the tickets for the show went on general sale.

It was revealed by sports business reporter Darren Rovell in a tweet that WWE had sold over 90,000 tickets and achieved a record-breaking gate.

“JUST IN: WrestleMania 40 went on sale today and has already broken WWE’s all-time gate record ($21.5M at WrestleMania 39 in LA). More than 90,000 tickets sold so far to the two-day event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in April 2024.”

WWE has been breaking their own records with an electric pace over the last year, seemingly setting new numbers upon every big show. WrestleMania 40 will be held in Philadelphia at the Lincoln Financial Field on the 6th and 7th of April next year, with current promotional material featuring names like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Asuka, Seth Rollins, and more.
