WWE's next pay-per-view is only six days away as Backlash will be broadcast from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Five matches have been added to the card so far and both world titles will be on the line as Drew McIntyre goes one on one with Bobby Lashley, while Braun Strowman will try and fend off The Miz and John Morrison.

The whole show won't be broadcast live, however, as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Edge vs. Randy Orton was taped yesterday before NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Meltzer noted Orton and Edge are actually trying to have the greatest wrestling match ever, and the company taped the bout in advance so any problems can be reshot and edited out. The match was also reportedly "really really good" and both Superstars worked "very very hard."

Meltzer said: "The only match that they taped was Edge and Orton. There was like a rumour going around that they were taping the Backlash pay-per-view today, which in fact they're not… To make sure Edge and Orton has no kinks the attempt was to do the absolute best match possible, and if there is any problems, you can redo it, and you can re-edit it, and they've got a week to clean it up. And I was told the match is two very smart workers working very very hard to have the smartest match they possibly could under the best circumstances. So, it was absolutely an attempt to do it and to give them the benefit of post-match editing, so they did it. I was told it was really really good, like great."
