On Friday, it emerged that United States Champion Andrade had suffered an injury and would not be able to compete at WrestleMania 36. NXT star Austin Theory was rumoured to be his replacement and he will team with Angel Garza against The Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Championships at The Showcase Of The Immortals.

Unlike with Roman Reigns, WWE chose to address El Idolo's absence from Mania on last night's episode of Monday Night Raw as before his scheduled match, Andrade's manager Zelina Vega confirmed he was indeed injured. The former EVOLVE Champion then made his way to the ring as he teamed with Garza & Seth Rollins against Kevin Owens & The Street Profits. Why Theory was chosen as Andrade's replacement is not currently known.

During the match, Montez Ford almost seriously injured himself as he attempted to do an Over The Top Rope Suicide Senton onto Theory. However, the NXT Superstar did not have enough time to get to his feet and was unable to catch Ford, sending the champion crashing into the metal flooring on the ramp. The bout came to an end soon after as K.O hit Garza with a vicious stunner for the 1-2-3.

After the conclusion of Raw, WWE announced on Twitter that Theory will replace Andrade at WrestleMania 36 and team with Angel Garza against The Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team titles.
