What a match it would be!

WALTER is still hopeful of facing Finn Bálor in the near future despite having their feud cancelled in WWE NXT last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The United Kingdom champion and Bálor seemed set to clash after weeks of interactions, with a match between the two likely to have been held at NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay, which was cancelled due to the then-developing coronavirus situation.
The two are set to compete at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver next week, albeit in separate matches, but WALTER is hopeful of meeting The Prince in the ring in the near future.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, WALTER said: "We have never wrestled before. It’s definitely one of the matches I am very motivated to have. Especially right now, this is the best Finn Bálor I’ve ever seen. The way he carries himself, the way he carries the company, it’s fantastic.
"His title reign, that’s what a title reign should look like. His title matches, that’s what title matches should look like.
"We were supposed to wrestle before the pandemic started, but we got interrupted. It’s a match I would like to have. The circumstances, whether he is NXT champion or whether I will be NXT UK champion, I don’t know. But it is a match I would like to have happen."
WALTER will be defending the United Kingdom Championship against Tommaso Ciampa on Night One of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, while Bálor will put the NXT Championship on the line against Karrion Kross on Night Two.
