In the main event of Survivor Series, Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch, SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley, and NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler faced off in a triple threat match. In the battle for brand supremacy, it was Baszler ultimately emerged victorious, forcing Bayley to tap out.

Reactions to the match within the wrestling world have been somewhat mild.

Bleacher Report

awarded the main event a "C+." While they praised the angle after the match - where Lynch put Baszler through the SmackDown announce table - they described the main event itself as: "disjointed" and: "mostly ice cold".

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer

was also not sold on the match. He criticised Baszler's performance, arguing that her wrestling style did not translate well to a triple threat. Bryan Alvarez added that while "everyone tried," the crowd was dead - hindering the match's overall quality.

The most important man in WWE was also unhappy with how the match played out.

WrestleVotes

noted that Vince McMahon thought the contest was disappointing. Late yesterday they tweeted: "Heard even Vince himself didn't like the main event last night. Major disappointment."

Despite this, McMahon is keen to move Shayna Baszler to Raw or SmackDown. After her post match angle with Becky Lynch, it is expected to be Monday Night Raw.
