On last night's episode of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins seemingly turned heel

. To begin the episode he admonished his colleagues for their performances at Survivor Series, specifically targeting Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair, Rey Mysterio, and the Authors Of Pain.

Before he began his "town hall" speech however, the Chicago crowd serenaded the former WWE Universal champion with chants for CM Punk.

In response, Rollins said: "Look guys, I tried to get him here. I'm sorry. He didn't want to show up. He wants to sit behind a desk in Los Angeles and talk about a change that he's too afraid to make himself." This referred to Punk's new analyst role on

WWE Backstage,

and the numerous challenges the Beast Slayer has issued the former WWE Champion.

Vince McMahon was reportedly furious at the comment.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said

: "Vince was really upset about Seth responding to this, as Vince's rule is that you don't [...] push the idea of a match you are not going to deliver."

Meltzer did note, however, that there is a chance Rollins and McMahon discussed it beforehand, and that the boss was just working everyone backstage. He did add, though, that he has "serious doubts" about this being true.
