Update On Rumours Of Vince McMahon's Health Rapidly Declining
Is Vince McMahon's health in decline?
Aug 16, 2024
According to Vince McMahon's attorney, Jessica Rosenberg, the former WWE CEO's health is not rapidly declining and the 78-year-old is allegedly "fine."
"Vince's health is fine. We have no idea where the rumor that he had health issues came from, but it is not true," Rosenberg told Wrestlenomics and POST Wrestling in a statement.
Rumours that McMahon's health was declining emerged after Lee Cole claimed in a YouTube video on Monday that Linda McMahon had told people her husband's health was worsening.
"Linda McMahon, somebody that her and I have in common, was talking to a person and telling them that her husband's health is deteriorating fast," Lee Cole said, later stating on another YouTube video his source was someone who worked for the McMahons for seven years.
Lee Cole also claimed he has received legal threats over his comments about Vince McMahon's health. POST Wrestling noted that Lee Cole expressed doubt to them on Thursday that Vince McMahon could provide any evidence to his attorney that his health is actually fine.
Lee Cole is the brother of the late Tom Cole, one of the alleged victims of the WWE Ring Boy scandal.
Vince McMahon has suffered from health issues over the past year, undergoing spinal surgery in July 2023. He was spotted walking with a cane later in the year. Jessica Rosenberg is representing McMahon in the lawsuit filed against him, WWE, and John Laurinaitis by Janel Grant. McMahon is accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault and physical and emotional abuse in the currently paused lawsuit.
The former TKO Executive Chairman is also under investigation by attorneys for the Southern District of New York over allegations of sex trafficking and sexual misconduct dating back to 1986.
