WWE now simply has an Undisputed WWE Championship for the second time

The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is no more.
The WWE and Universal titles had been one championship since Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 38 to unify the two belts and create the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The 'Universal' portion of WWE's top title has been dropped, though, and Cody Rhodes is now simply listed as the 'Undisputed WWE Champion' on WWE.com. This comes after Cody defeated Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in the main event of WrestleMania 40. Rhodes had been referred to as the Undisputed WWE Champion on WWE programming since the company's biggest show of the year.
The name change for WWE's top title is not a surprise, with Rhodes even saying before WrestleMania that he planned to rename the belt to just the WWE Championship.
The Universal Championship was created in 2016 after WWE reintroduced the brand split. Along with Roman Reigns, past champions include Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Bray Wyatt, and Braun Strowman.
As part of being Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes has been officially moved to Friday Night SmackDown. He had been a Raw talent since he returned to WWE in 2022.
