On Thursday evening, it emerged that Roman Reigns had decided to pull out of his Universal Championship match against Goldberg at WrestleMania 36. SmackDown Tag Team Champion The Miz was ill while in Orlando, Florida and with Reigns having survived Leukaemia, The Big Dog did not want to risk his health and withdrew from the event.

Last night, WrestleMania 32 aired on ESPN and after the show, Triple H appeared on SportsCenter. During the interview, The Game was asked about Reigns pulling out of Mania. The 14-time world champion said he didn't want to discuss the specifics but that it's understandable if Roman didn't want to be part of The Show Of Shows because of his pre-existing condition. He added that Superstars had not been pressured to wrestle and all talent at Mania were there in "a voluntary capacity."

Triple H said: "I don't want to get into the specifics of WrestleMania because that's a must-watch and see event, but we don't like to take precautions with our talent any more so than they need to and all of our talent are in this in a voluntary capacity. So right out the get-go, if they don't want to be a part of this, if they feel there's a risk for whatever reason, be it themselves or somebody around them, they don't have to be here and nothing is held against them for that...With Roman having a pre-existing condition, that would make him more susceptible to something, it's understandable."
