The Rock Will Go Head-To-Head With WWE Raw On Monday Nights

The coronavirus pandemic has caused a deep impact to Monday Night Raw's ratings. Viewership for WWE's flagship show has dropped by approximately 13 percent and ratings are amongst the lowest in Raw's history. Vince McMahon even addressed the falling ratings during the Q1 2020 conference call, as he told investors that viewership has fallen because WWE has introduced a lot of new talent in recent months and it takes a while for Superstars to get over with the audience.

Raw's ratings could be set to tumble further in the Summer as NBC announced season two of The Rock's Titan Games will be broadcast on Monday Nights at 8 pm from May 25. The season two premiere will be a two-hour special until 10 pm, but the show will return to its one-hour timeslot from June 1.

This marks a change for the series as season one was broadcast on Thursday nights. The show picked up strong ratings, averaging 4.4 million viewers, which could eat into Raw's viewership, particularly when new content is sorely lacking because of the coronavirus pandemic.
