The Rock has spoken further about a potential run to become President of the United States in the future, revealing that his 'small amount of research' so far has brought back positive indicators regarding his possible candidacy.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's popularity in the US has led to calls for the 49-year-old to run for President in the future, with the successful run of Donald Trump back in 2016 showing that there is an appetite for celebrity candidates.

The Rock has previously not ruled out a potential candidacy run in the future and has now declared that, while his knows nothing about policy, he cares about every American.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, he said: "You know, at the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics. I don’t know the first thing about policy. I care deeply about our country. I care about every f**king American who bleeds red, and that’s all of them.

"And—there’s no delusion here—I may have some decent leadership qualities, but that doesn’t necessarily make me a great presidential candidate. That’s where I am today."

Rock would also admit that he has spoken to people in politics and has also done “a small amount of research and analysis to see where this comes from and to see what it could look like in the future.”

He added: "indicators are all very positive—in, for example, 2024, and in, for example, 2028."
