Taya Valkyrie Signs With WWE

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has confirmed with "multiple sources" that former Impact Wrestling Knockouts champion Taya Valkyrie has signed with WWE.

Valkyrie was with Impact from 2017 up until last month. She reigned as Knockouts champion from January 2019 through January 2020, a total of 377 days. That reign is the longest in the 13-year history of the championship.

She was officially written out of Impact following a loss to Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo at Hard to Kill in January. She was then revealed as the culprit in the John E. Bravo attempted murder mystery, at which time she officially departed the promotion.

Prior to joining Impact, Valkyrie regularly wrestled for AAA from 2012 to 2017. In her time there, Valkyrie held the Reina de Reinas championship on three occasions, and is technically still the current titleholder (having held it since September of 2019).

Valkyrie turned pro in 2010, and was a trainee of Lance Storm's. She has been married to current Raw brand star John Morrison (whom she has cornered for and teamed with in different promotions) since 2018.
