Sting Teases Storyline With Darby Allin On AEW: Dynamite
Will they be allies or enemies...
Dec 10, 2020
Following his AEW debut last week, Sting came to the ring on this week's Dynamite for an interview with Tony Schiavone.
Cody and Arn Anderson had already headed to the ring before Stinger but The Enforcer quickly left following a brief moment with The Icon and Schiavone headed back to the commentary table after he roared his famous call, "It's Stiinnnggg!"
The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion and Cody then got down to business. Rhodes said he had waited a long time to stand in the ring with The Franchise, but Sting seemed largely uninterested and told Cody he wasn't in AEW for him. He was in the company because there was something "really, really familiar about this place" and he proceeded to point to the rafters where Darby Allin was seated.
Tensions between Sting and Cody ramped up after this as Stinger said what he plans to do in AEW is his business.
The segment then ended after The Franchise patted The American Nightmare on the back, pulled him in and said, "See you around kid."
While a programme between Cody and Sting looks to be on the horizon, Stinger appeared to have his eyes set on Darby Allin first. If they will be allies or rivals remains to be seen, though.
