New WWE signee Stephanie Vaquer has confirmed which brand she will start on following her in-ring WWE debut.
The 31-year-old wrestled her first WWE match at this past Saturday's non-televised live event in Mexico City, defeating Isla Dawn. After the bout, WWE posted a short clip of Vaquer to their Instagram page, which ended with her saying, "NXT, see you soon".
It had been expected that the former CMLL World Women's Champion would start in NXT, after Shawn Michaels welcomed her to WWE (via X) by telling her, "See you in Orlando!".
Following her signing, it was reported that both CMLL and NJPW were dismayed by the manner in which Vaquer left the promotions. Both companies were upset that she was unable to compete in matches that had long been advertised, while CMLL were annoyed that Vaquer did not drop her World Women's or World Women's Tag Team titles.
In addressing her CMLL/NJPW departure, Vaquer had claimed she was 'leaving through the front door', a term indicating she was leaving on good terms.
Vaquer was in action for WWE on their live event in Monterrey on July 14, where she once again beat Isla Dawn.
