Stephanie McMahon Announces Leave Of Absence From WWE
Says she's taking time to focus on her family

Stephanie McMahon, Chief Branding Officer at WWE, announced on Twitter Thursday afternoon that she's taking a leave of absence from the company for what she's termed family reasons, effective Friday, May 20.
McMahon wrote, "As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family."
McMahon was present for WWE's most recently quarterly investors call on May 5.
McMahon has been WWE's Chief Branding Officer since December 2013. In 2000, McMahon took the position of head writer for WWE television. By 2006, she had the title of Senior Vice President of Creative Writing, followed by Executive Vice President of Creative Writing the following year.
Since 1999, McMahon has appeared as a character on WWE programming, usually in the role of authority figure, and had occasionally wrestled. After submitting to Ronda Rousey's armbar in a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, McMahon's TV appearances became more sporadic.
