Senior Writer Quits WWE

One of WWE's senior writers is gone from the company.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Jennifer Pepperman, a senior writer and producer for WWE, has exited the company. Unlike the departures of Matt Camp and Kevin Patrick in recent weeks, Pepperman was not released and she simply decided to leave the organisation. Pepperman was primarily involved with the SmackDown women's division.

Pepperman had been with WWE since April 2017. Prior to joining the company, she was a producer and director on soap operas, including As The World Turns and One Life To Live.

Pepperman was named in the 2023 lawsuit filed by former WWE writer Britney Abrahams which alleged Abrahams was discriminated against and fired for objecting to multiple instances of "offensively racist and stereotypical jargon" within WWE scripts. The lawsuit was "resolved amicably" in October 2023.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce acknowledged Pepperman's WWE departure, tweeting: "Shout out to @JenPepperman. I have always appreciated your creativity, passion, and the countless time you've given to help me and others backstage over the years. I'll miss your energy, but I know you'll be great wherever you may roam. My gratitude forever!!!"
