Sean Waltman Reveals WWE Is Working On A Post-9/11 SmackDown Documentary

Sean Waltman has revealed that WWE are working on a Network Documentary around the post September 11 2001 episode of SmackDown.

WWE presented SmackDown live from Houston, Texas, just two days following the tragic events of 9/11, in what was the first mass gathering of people in America following the attack.

One of the most emotional nights in WWE history, Waltman has revealed that, 20 years on, WWE Network are doing a documentary on the night.

Speaking during the latest episode of his 'Pro Wrestling 4 Life' podcast, Waltman spoke about his recent involvement in WWE NWO week, saying: "I sat down for some talking head stuff. They’re doing a documentary on the SmackDown after 9/11. I have vivid memories of all that. We were the first ones to do anything after that happened."

Waltman opened up a bit more on being involved in the post 9/11 show, and was asked if he was scared of a possible attack at the SmackDown show.

He added: "No. Obviously, I was traumatized like the rest of the nation. But as far as being scared for anything locally, no. I don’t like to get on planes too much anymore, but they made it worth it for me."
