WWE’s recent Backlash premium live event in Puerto Rico saw New Generation star Savio Vega make a surprise return to the company, with ‘Los Boricua’ joining Carlito and the LWO in saving Bad Bunny from a Judgment Day beating during the event.

The success of Backlash was such that many fans are hoping that WWE will produce televised content from Puerto Rico on a regular basis, with Vega himself revealing to Sportskeeda WrestleBinge that he has spoken to WWE about making it happen:

"Well, I talked to Triple H," Vega said. "But with [the UFC merger]... it's hard right now. He told me that we [are] gonna talk again. Any time soon? We don't know. Of course, [sometime] next year."

Vega revealed that he hopes to form a working relationship specifically between WWE and his IWA indie promotion in Puerto Rico, a move that would not be beyond the realms of possibility due to recent working arrangements WWE has held with the likes of PROGRESS, ICW, EVOLVE, and wXw. Due to the current fast-paced environment within WWE following the sale to Endeavor, Vega admitted that he could hear from Triple H in 'two weeks' such is the ever-changing nature of current-day WWE.
