Roman Reigns WWE Universal Championship reign has officially passed the 500 day mark.

Reigns won the title at Payback 2020, defeating 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt, and Braun Strowman in the show’s main event, and has since beaten practically every big name in WWE.

‘The Tribal Chief’s run currently sits as the second longest in title history, with Brock Lesnar’s first run with the belt lasting 504 days from WrestleMania 33 in April 2017, until SummerSlam in August 2018, where none other than Roman Reigns defeated him for it.

Reigns current reign is likely to eclipse Brock’s record setting run, as Roman isn’t set to defend the belt again until the Royal Rumble on January 29, when Seth Rollins will be looking to defeat his former SHIELD partner.

Should Roman escape from the Rumble with the gold firmly around his waist, then the next record he’ll have to break is that of WALTER, with the Austrian’s 870 day run with the NXT UK Championship the longest single men’s title reign in WWE since Hulk Hogan’s first WWE Title run from January 1984 to February 1988 - over 1,470 days.
