Roman Reigns Details Importance Of "Cowboy" Brock Lesnar For Their WWE Feud
Roman Reigns believes Brock's cowboy transformation was essential to prolonging their rivalry

Current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has stressed the importance of Brock Lesnar's transformation into 'Cowboy Brock' with regards to their feud that ended at SummerSlam.
The Beast Incarnate and Tribal Chief have been feuding on and off since 2015, with Brock typically the heel and Roman the babyface. However, during the latest instalment of their rivalry, they switched the dynamic.
Not only did Paul Heyman leave Lesnar for Reigns, but Brock adopted a more fan-friendly demeanour and changed his look to include cowboy attire such as boots, hats and shirts.
Speaking with The Ringer, the Head of the Table noted that the change was vital and helped their matches at WrestleMania and SummerSlam, saying:
"To me, if he doesn't level up and showcase the Cowboy Brock character, then don't nobody give a sh*t about Brock next to the Tribal Chief. I was able to push my level up, which he knew, OK, 'this guy's creating different levels and layers to this, let me step my game up'. And he did that.
"That was just a perfect recipe of two performers who want to be the best, and both have pretty legitimate claims to that territory. And when you get two guys who compete, it's not backstabbing. We're looking each other in the eyes and we're telling each other, 'I'm better than you and if you don't show me, then this is the end of the road for you'. People probably said, 'Oh God, not Brock-Roman again'. And then we go out there and deliver a classic. Got better on that last one. And I think that's the key to the kingdom. How do we continually get better? How do we upgrade? How do we push ourselves to the next level? How do we continue to move these goalposts?".
Reigns is next scheduled to compete in the WarGames match at this Saturday's Survivor Series premium live event. He will team with the rest of The Bloodline to take on Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens and the Brawling Brutes.
Brock's next match is unknown. He last performed at Crown Jewel, where he beat Bobby Lashley.
