have had it confirmed to them that WWE have signed Timothy Thatcher. Per their report, Thatcher started working with the company earlier this week.

Squared Circle Sirens

initially reported that Thatcher was at the WWE Performance Center earlier today.

"Thatcher, 36, has long been a talent that WWE has been interested in but had previously turned down overtures from the company. William Regal and Canyon Cemen had both had Thatcher on their radar in recent years,"

PWInsider's

report continues.

Thatcher is best known for his work in EVOLVE where he is the longest-reigning EVOLVE Champion.

Back in 2015,

WWE.com

published an article about the five EVOLVE stars we needed to keep an eye on, with Thatcher one of the names listed.

Here's what EVOLVE's Gabe Sapolsky had to say back then: “Timothy Thatcher’s been in EVOLVE for just over a year now. In that time, he’s established himself as one of the best wrestlers on the planet. He reminds me of Daniel Bryan, who I worked with for about 10 years. He’s an extremely gifted technical wrestler and a hard worker. I’d put him up there with Daniel Bryan as one of the hardest workers I’ve ever had.

“He’s a tough guy, very, very tough. He knows how to twist the body into submissions and outwrestle people on a different level than most. He’s on a different plane than most other wrestlers. You take one look at him and know he’s not a guy you’d want to get in a fight with.”
