Report: WWE Veteran Annoyed About Johnny Knoxville Being Allowed To Wrestle
An unhappy Superstar
Feb 15, 2022
Johnny Knoxville has been a regular presence in WWE since the turn of the year feuding with Sami Zayn and the Jackass star even appeared in the Men's Royal Rumble, being eliminated by The Great Liberator.
Zayn and Knoxville's issues look set to continue as reports have noted the new Intercontinental Champion will defend the gold against Knoxville at WrestleMania 38.
WWE allowing Knoxville to wrestle hasn't impressed everyone, though, and Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp noted a company veteran was "livid" about Knoxville being allowed to perform.
"I had a WWE veteran in my DMs this week very upset because they didn't let Bryan Danielson wrestle for years, and they're letting Johnny Knoxville wrestle when he had a brain haemorrhage. I mean, livid," Sean Ross Sapp said on Fightful's Raw review show.
Knoxville suffered a brain haemorrhage whilst filming Jackass Forever after he was hit by a bull. The 50-year-old also suffered a broken wrist, broken ribs and a concussion as a result of the stunt.
Bryan Danielson was forced to retire in 2016 due to multiple concussions and WWE didn't clear him for an in-ring return until 2018. The American Dragon now performs in All Elite Wrestling.
