Hurricane Ian continues to affect professional wrestling.

Having caused changes to Wednesday's episode of Dynamite, the storm is set to affect tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown from Winnipeg, Canada. It was previously noted that WWE were concerned about the show and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now reported that some talent living in the Orlando area will not be in Winnipeg for SmackDown. Those talents will also miss WWE's house shows over the weekend in North Dakota and Saskatchewan.

A number of WWE wrestlers live in the Orlando area due to its proximity to the Performance Center, the company's training facility where NXT is also taped.

Announced for SmackDown is Bayley vs. Shotzi, Hit Row vs. Lethal Lotharios, and Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa vs. Ricochet and Madcap Moss.

Hurricane Ian made landfall on Wednesday as a category four storm, causing devastation to Fort Myers and other coastal areas. Approximately 2.2 million homes and businesses are still without power and a search and rescue operation is underway.
