Since Paul Heyman was fired as Executive Director of Monday Night Raw on June 11, last-minute rewrites and changes have been common on the red brand. Multiple planned angles have been scrapped just before a show goes on the air and the lead writers on Raw are reportedly "not up to the task of getting the show done in time."

All scripts for Raw still have to be approved by Vince McMahon and the boss often doesn't give final approval until late afternoon on Monday. There was even an instance in late August where an episode was torn up and rewritten at 7:20 pm ET, only 40 minutes before the show began.

Yesterday was another day of last-minute rewrites, according to Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer.

"I don't want to say they started writing at 2 o'clock this afternoon," Meltzer said. "But they had nothing final until then, and then they were putting it all together. But it was basically a last-minute rewrite."

WrestleVotes also noted talent weren't told what they were doing on the episode until after 5 pm ET.

They tweeted: "Majority of talent just learned what they are doing on tonight’s show less than an hour ago."
