It seems that the PG Era of WWE Raw is coming to an end.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast reported Thursday that Raw will be reverting back to a TV-14 rating, beginning with this Monday's broadcast in Tampa.

Raw had been rated TV-PG since July of 2008, at which time most of adult themes, language, and excessively-violent elements (like blood) that were part of Raw for a number of years were phased out.

TV Parental Guidelines describes a TV-14 program as one that, "... contains some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age." They describe a TV-PG program as one that "... contains material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children."

Raw first moved to a TV-14 rating in 1997. That timeframe saw the creation of the "scratch" logo, and the embracing of the elements that would come to define "The Attitude Era".

There is no indication of any rating changes for SmackDown. That program, across its many television homes, has been rated PG since its premiere on UPN in August of 1999.
